BCS Late Season Shakeup
This past weekend’s upsets in college football put a few teams plans on hold. Not only as to how they were going to get into the BCS title game but possibly if their plans were out the window for good! The upsets also breathed some new life into a couple programs that before Saturday really were not in the discussion at most roundtables! The fight to be number two after this Saturday’s game between Michigan and Ohio State will be a battle. Can this help you make some money on the way to Glendale, Arizona in January? We think so and invite you to read on for more BCS tidbits that might help get you into the winner’s circle. Better Win and Win Big The fight to get up to number two means you of course have to win out but the wins also have to be impressive. Florida’s 17-16 win on Saturday was viewed as so unimpressive that they got jumped by USC for the number three spot. Any team still in the running had better put points on the board, so calling the dogs off won’t happen. This should have you taking a long look at the over in contending teams remaining games. You also would be wise to take a look at the favorites covering if the situation is right for them to ‘flex their muscle’. Just Trying To Keep Winning See Florida again as not only do they have two regular season games to play but will also have a SEC Championship game to play. Let downs will happen and even though a win is needed be sure and look at who a team has played and where they are going. Arkansas might be someone to keep an eye on as they have had a tough schedule but yet have not lost since the opening weekend. The Razorbacks have indeed been very impressive ever since Week 1. Too Far Out Of The Chase and Not Happy About It See Arkansas again as they are sitting behind Rutgers and Notre Dame. The only blemish on the Razorbacks record is a season opening loss to USC, who is now ranked number three. Rutgers, although still undefeated has really only had one marquee win and that came at home. Notre Dame is in the same boat as their only big game was a blowout loss to Michigan. Wisconsin might also have an argument as they sit at number nine with their only loss to Michigan at the Big House. How will these teams respond down the stretch is a key as disappointment may set in at some point but they also will fight to the bitter end if they’re still in the running! Too Far Out and Might Not Care Auburn might very well be done. No chance at the BCS. No chance for an SEC title. The Tigers only have the Iron Bowl game at Tuscaloosa against Alabama. Yes this is a rivalry game but other than that the War Eagle has raised the surrender flag and could have a very bad showing to end the season. Hopefully these little ins and outs will help pad your bankroll and give you a chance to score big all the way up to and including the national championship game. There is still a lot of football to be played and these tidbits might help you along the way as we traverse the last few weeks of the regular season and get ready for that wonderful time of the year…Bowl Season! Best of luck always from Rickenbach’s Players Advantage! |
