Last week we had 67 teams that were "Definitely In" the Big Dance, so obviously we had to pare a couple of those teams off the list, giving us a total of 43 teams on our proverbial bubble. Well, another week has passed and some teams have played themselves out of a bid and some have played their way in. Overall, six teams that would have made this field as of last Tuesday are no longer on the list. Those teams are Bucknell, Indiana, NC State, Oral Roberts, Southern Illinois and Wisconsin Milwaukee. Most of those schools are from smaller conferences that were dominating their leagues as of just last week, but that is not the case any longer. With those six teams off the list, that means there are six new teams with DANCING SHOES! We hope your favorite team made the list. Also, as an EXLCUSIVE to You Win Now, we will note which are the new teams on this week's list! Alabama Arizona Arizona St *** New Team Arkansas Atlantic Sun Winner Big Sky Winner Big South Winner Boston College Charlotte Cincinnati Davidson Dayton DePaul Duke Florida George Washington Georgia Tech Gonzaga Horizon Winner Illinois Iowa Ivy Winner Kansas Kansas St *** New Team Kentucky Louisville Marquette Maryland Metro Atlantic Winner Michigan St Mid American Winner Mid Continent Winner Mid Eastern Athletic Winner Mississippi St Nevada New Mexico North Carolina Northeast Winner Notre Dame Oklahoma Oklahoma St Old Dominion Pacific Patriot Winner *** New Team < -- Bucknell no longer sure fire winner Pitt Southland Winner St Joes *** New Team St Mary's Stanford *** New Team Sun Belt Winner SWAC Winner Syracuse Tennessee Tech Texas Texas Tech U Conn UAB Utah UTEP Vermont Villanova *** New Team Wake Forest Washington Wichita State Wisconsin These are in alphabetical order, so there is nothing to read into rank or my projected seeds. You will also notice that for some leagues, which are too tough to call right now, we simply listed "League Winner" as getting the bid. Right now my four #1 seeds would be Illinois, Duke, North Carolina, and Syracuse - no change from last week on those top seeds. The last two teams to make it into this field were St Joes and Kansas State. See you next week...HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! |
