The Sprint Cup boys move to Pocono this weekend for the 21st race of the season.  Pocono Raceway is a 2 1/2 mile Tri-Oval flat superspeedway located in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.  Here are my Top 5 drivers to win in Pocono this weekend.  We still have to wait for Qualifying and Happy Hour before finalizing our Head to Head matchups.  Pocono is normally a very good money track for us!!   Now 23-13 64% the past 13 weeks with our Head to Head Nascar matchups.  We gave some money back to the man in Indianapolis last weekend.  That was possibly the sorriest race I have ever seen in my life!  13 green flag laps were the most run at one time last Sunday.  Absolutely ridiculous tire problems the entire race.  I do feel it effected our head to head matchups.  Still crushing the man this year again in Nascar!

For starters, I think Denny Hamlin has the best shot of winning this race.  Hamlin has 2 wins, 4 Top 5 finishes and 5 Top 10 finishes in his 5 starts here in Pocono.  Hamlin an average finish of 2.8 here in Pocono which is the best average finish among all drivers.  Past 2 years, Denny Hamlin's average finish at track type - FLAT SUPERSPEEDWAY is 7.4. In 5 races, he has 0 wins and 4 top 10 finishes.

Next in line I would go with Jeff Gordon.  Gordon has four wins, 15 Top 5 finishes and 21 Top 10 finishes in 31 starts here in Pocono.  Gordon has an average finish of 10.3 here in Pocono.  Past two seasons,  Jeff Gordon's average finish at track type - FLAT SUPERSPEEDWAY is 5.4. In 5 races, he has 1 win and 4 top 10 finishes.  Jeff Gordon's average finish over the past 10 races is 10.4. In 10 races, he has 0 wins and 5 top 10 finishes.

Then, back in my 3rd spot, I have to go with Kurt Busch.  Busch has two wins, 7 Top 5 finishes and 8 Top 10 finishes in his 15 starts in Pocono.  Busch has an average finish of 14.2 here in Pocono.   Past 2 years, Kurt Busch's average finish at track type - FLAT SUPERSPEEDWAY is 15.2. In 5 races, he has 1 win and 2 top 10 finishes.

Looking at my pick for the 4th spot we turn to Mark Martin.  Martin has no wins, 19 Top 5 finishes and 30 Top 10 finishes in his 43 starts in Pocono.  Martin has an average finish of 10.7 in Pocono.  Past 2 years, Mark Martin's average finish at track type - FLAT SUPERSPEEDWAY is 8.6. In 5 races, he has 0 wins and 4 top 10 finishes.

Rounding out my Top 5 and sitting in the 5th position is Jimmie Johnson.  Johnson has two wins, four Top 5 finishes and eight Top 10 finishes in his 13 starts in Pocono.   Johnson has an average finish of 10.3 in Pocono.   Jimmie Johnson's average finish over the past 3 races is 8.7. In 3 races, he has 1 win and 2 top 10 finishes.

The odds for these drivers to win in Pocono currently at Bodog are:

#11  Denny Hamlin  11 to 2
#24  Jeff Gordon  12 to 1
#2    Kurt Busch  40 to 1
#8    Mark Martin  25 to 1
#48  Jimmie Johnson  11 to 2

Make sure you check back for Rocky's winning Nascar Head to Head matchups for Pocono Raceway on Sunday morning!!  We are now 23-13 64% the past 13 weeks in Nascar only losing 3 weeks!
