The Sprint Cup boys move to Daytona this weekend for the 18th race of the season.  Daytona International Speedway is one of the restrictor plate races on the circuit.  Daytona is a 2 1/2 mile Tri-Oval track.  Here are my Top 5 drivers to win in Daytona this weekend.  We still have to wait for Qualifying and Happy Hour before finalizing our Head to Head matchups.  Daytona is normally a very good money track for us!!   Now 18-9 67% the past 9 weeks with our Head to Head Nascar matchups.  We had only one losing week the past 9 after winning again last weekend including our TOP 5* play!!

For starters, I think Jeff Gordon has the best shot of winning this race.  Gordon has 6 wins, 11 Top 5 finishes and 16 Top 10 finishes in his 30 starts here in Daytona.  Gordon has an average finish of 19.3 here in Daytona.  Past 2 years,  Jeff Gordon's average finish at track type - RESTRICTOR PLATE TRACK is 12.5. In 6 races, he has 2 wins and 4 top 10 finishes.

Next in line I would go with Dale Earnhardt Jr..  Earnhardt Jr. has two wins, 6 Top 5 finishes and 10 Top 10 finishes in 16 starts here in Daytona.  Earnhardt Jr. has an average finish of 15.7 here in Daytona.  Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s average finish over the past 3 races is 10.3. In 4 races, he has 1 win and 2 top 10 finishes.  Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s average finish over the past 10 races is 11.7. In 11 races, he has 1 win and 6 top 10 finishes.

Then, back in my 3rd spot, I have to go with Jimmie Johnson.  Johnson has one win, 5 Top 5 finishes and 8 Top 10 finishes in his 12 starts in Daytona.  Johnson has an average finish of 18.3 here in Daytona.   Last 2 years, Jimmie Johnson's average finish at track type - RESTRICTOR PLATE TRACK is 15.5. In 6 races, he has 0 wins and 3 top 10 finishes.  Jimmie Johnson's average finish over the past 3 races is 9.0. In 4 races, he has 0 wins and 3 top 10 finishes, which is good enough for the hottest over past 3 races.  Jimmie Johnson's average finish over the past 10 races is 12.8. In 11 races, he has 1 win and 6 top 10 finishes.

Looking at my pick for the 4th spot we turn to Tony Stewart.  Stewart has 2 wins, 6 Top 5 finishes and 10 Top 10 finishes in his 18 starts in Daytona.  Stewart has an average finish of 19.9 in Daytona.

Rounding out my Top 5 and sitting in the 5th position is Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch.  They both tied for my #5 position.  Kyle Busch has no wins, three Top 5 finishes and three Top 10 finishes in his 6 starts in Daytona.   Kyle Busch has an average finish of 24.0 in Daytona.   Past 2 years, Kyle Busch's average finish at track type - RESTRICTOR PLATE TRACK is 17.3. In 6 races, he has 1 win and 3 top 10 finishes.  Kyle Busch is the hottest driver over the past 10 races.  Kyle Busch's average finish over the past 10 races is 9.4. In 11 races, he has 4 wins and 8 top 10 finishes.

Kurt Busch has no wins, 7 Top 5 finishes and 7 Top 10 finishes in his 14 races in Daytona.  Past 2 years, Kurt Busch's average finish at track type - RESTRICTOR PLATE TRACK is 15.8. In 6 races, he has 0 wins and 4 top 10 finishes.

The odds for these drivers to win in Daytona currently at Bodog are:

#24  Jeff Gordon  7 to 1
#88  Dale Earnhardt Jr.  6 to 1
#48  Jimmie Johnson  8 to 1
#20  Tony Stewart  6 to 1
#18  Kyle Busch  5 to 1
#2   Kurt Busch  15 to 1

Make sure you check back for Rocky's winning Nascar Head to Head matchups for Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night!!  We won again last week in New Hampshire and are now 18-9 67% the past 9 weeks in Nascar winning 8 of those 9 weeks!
