Two on Tuesday from Triple Threat Sports!

Every Tuesday we look at two games in college or NBA basketball and try to provide some solid information and some winners. Some weeks we have swept the two, others we have split, and we have also missed completely a couple of times. Today we look to go 2-0 as we stay in College Hoops completely, as we tend to stay away from the NBA right after the All Star Break. Enjoy!

Both games today come from the ACC, and we are taking underdogs in both cases. We will start with the Maryland at Boston College tilt at 9pm. Maryland just in an AWFUL spot here, as they are off a fortunate win against Duke in a game that everyone in Terp nation readily admitted was a must win if the team wanted to make the Big Dance. Well, they got that win, but since they built the previous game up so much they are ripe for a letdown in this one. Also, we love to take home dogs when they have an edge at the free throw line, and that is certainly the case here today as BC is hitting 71% from the line as opposed to just 61% from the line on the road for the Turtles. Finally, this is a home dog situation in a series that has seen the home team win each of the last three outright. We do not Fear the Turtle here, and will take the home underdog Eagles. <Br><Br>

Sticking in the ACC, have to take Georgia Tech (+) in their contest against North Carolina. GT has three recent losses and all three games (vs Clemson twice and FSU) have been decided by three points or less, and a "playing close games trait" is good when taking an underdog. Also, remember that the Wramblin Wreck beat Virginia on this court already this year, and we rate the Cavs as better than the Tar Heels this season. UNC in a sandwich spot here, and also cannot ignore that North Carolina MADE MORE THAN DOUBLE the amount of free throws that GT shot in the first meeting. Things like that tend to even out, and we will take the points (again) in this one. <Br><Br>
