Dec. 20th Poinsettia Bowl--Navy vs. Utah This is an interesting game as you have the always tough and game Naval Academy against a team that really played well at the end of the year in Utah. The things we know are that Navy moves the ball on virtually everyone and stops nearly nobody. I don't have much to say on this one because it just happens to be my College Football Bowl Game of the Year! It's on the site now for only $35 and I'm so confident that I have offered to give out all my picks including the bowl games for Free for the next week if it doesn't cover!!! Dec. 21st New Orleans Bowl--Florida Atlantic vs. Memphis Don't sleep on this Florida Atlantic team who knocked a very good Troy team off to win the automatic berth into this bowl. Memphis is the most shocking of all the bowl teams to me this year. They blew a 25 point halftime lead to Arkansas St. early in the year and I expected them to have a problem winning 5 games, but they rebounded in a very weak C-USA this year to sneak into this bowl. Both teams have struggled defensively at times so this should be a high scoring game. Whether or not it beats the number of 66 points we'll be close, but I will have a play on the side in this game. Of course depending on how my opener does it could end up being a free play or it will be a $20-25 play. Dec. 22nd Papa John's.Com Bowl--Southern Miss vs. Cincinnati I've made a pretty good sum of money betting both with an against the Bearcats this year. I love their coach so I knew with Mauck that they would be better than people expected. This number is pretty high with Cincy laying 11 right now. If the Bearcat defense is able slow down the USM tailback Fletcher they could take the Eagles behind the woodshed in this game. I like the Bearcat speed on both sides of the ball and they have a siginificant edge in playmakers at the receiver position in this game. I also like the Bearcat special teams. Cincinnati will win this game it's just a question of by how much! Possible play as well. Dec. 22nd New Mexico Bowl--Nevada vs. New Mexico Living in Reno I know how much the Wolf Pack is bummed to being going to this bowl over the Hawaii bowl. Reality is this team barely deserves any bowl bid at all, but they do have some talent on offense and this could be a fun game to watch. New Mexico has suspended it's best offensive player Ferguson the tailback for this game and that could hurt their chances. The Lobos don't have a great passing game, but everyone seems to be able to throw on Nevada so I don't see why they'll be any different. New Mexico definitely has the better defense in this matchup and that and home field could be enough to overcome Ferguson's suspension. Close game but I like New Mexico to win 34-28, but watch out for Nevada's QB running ability to change the game in several spots. Dec. 22nd Las Vegas Bowl--UCLA vs. BYU Everything says BYU in this game and that scares me a bit. UCLA's offense is bad right now because of all their QB problems and with the exception of one embarrassing performance at Tulsa the BYU defense has been very good. The Bruins defense is good, but when they go on the road they seem to have problems and when you look back at the UCLA-Utah game earlier this year it's tough not to take BYU in this game. With UCLA fully staffed and Utah undermanned with QB Johnson out the Utes put a 44-6 beatdown on the Bruins. That right there is enough for me to go with BYU 27-13!
