The Basketball season starts in about a week. That means we get even more opportunities to cash a profit on a nightly basis as the Hoops can be a great money maker. Similar to the stock market you can make money by fading teams that will be "bears" and jumping on teams that will be "bulls". Coincidentally enough it is the Bulls that we are "bullish" on heading into the 2006-07 season. A free futures play along with some analysis is below. Get ready to make a lot of money with us this basketball season and it all starts on October 31st.

CHICAGO BULLS OVER 48.5 wins – Defense wins many games in all sports. Even though the emphasis is on the highlight reel aspect of the NBA there is still no denying that it’s defense that often keys the wins and losses. The Bulls were the #1 team in the NBA last season for defensive field goal percentage. Now the Bulls have added one of the best shot blockers in the league in former Piston Ben Wallace. The Bulls also got Thabo Sefolosha in a draft day deal. He will be a defensive asset in the backcourt while Ben Wallace disrupts things down low.

As for the offensive end of the court we take a look at four key players who are all getting better in our opinion. Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, Andres Nocioni, and Luol Deng should all continue to put up double digits in points each night. Keep in mind that Andres Nocioni averaged 22.3 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game in the playoffs. The Bulls will be looking to carry a lot of momentum from their second straight postseason appearance right into this season.

The addition of some veterans certainly shows that the Bulls feel they are very close to competing for the ultimate prize. The additions of Adrian Griffin along with PJ Brown and Ben Wallace have added some key veteran leadership to an otherwise young team. Griffin, Brown, and Wallace have combined for over 30 years of NBA experience.

With a very deep bench Bulls Coach Scott Skiles has a lot to work with. Skiles is known as a guy that likes to use a lot of his bench and he has a lot of options with key players being added that will take some of the pressure off of younger players. Now look for some of the younger guys to come in with fresh legs throughout games. This will keep opponents off balance and should lead to a lot of wins in Chicago in 2006-07.

With back to back seasons making the playoffs the Bulls have grown with experience each year. Now with some key offseason additions this will be the season they win the Central Division! They took Ben Wallace away from the Pistons. The Bucks still have plenty of issues as they just don’t have enough depth or defense. The Cavaliers just don’t have enough talent around LeBron James. The Cavs Larry Hughes is still trying to deal with coming back from injuries and how he “fits” with James and only one basketball on the floor! As for the Pacers, they continue to make more noise off the court than on it and that’s not good news heading into the new season. The Central Division should be won by the Bulls and we look for about 55 wins for Chicago!
