This continues to be the most difficult division in football from top to bottom, but there isn't one team in this region that doesn't have major concerns. The Giants obviously were lost without Burress at the end of last year and left immediately from the playoffs. The Cowboys couldn't even make the playoffs and that was with T.O. The Eagles who were my favorite about 3 weeks ago lost their best linebacker in Bradley for the season and that combined with the losses of Brian Dawkins and most importantly Jim Johnson the D-Coordinator make that unit a question mark. The Redskins are just wondering if Jason Campbell will ever develop into a big time QB, my guess is if he hasn't already he won't, but they do have a strong defensive unit that can turn you over.

What does this all mean, likely that many of these teams will split their season series and that means 3-4 losses for every team before they go out of their division. The GOOD NEWS is they get to play the AFC West this year, by far the worst division in football. Nobody in this division should go worse than 3-1 in those game and a couple may go 4-0. Dallas and the Giants both get San Diego at home which gives them the best chance of 4-0 run against the AFC West. I am about as big a fan of Marion Barber as anyone out there, but I think if Jones can stay healthy the Cowboys need to use him even more than Barber, because of his breakaway ability. Week 17 will determine the final playoff as Philadelphia plays at Dallas and everyone knows that the Eagles play well in Dallas. I can't predict who will win that game, but my guess is the Eagles will unless the Cowboys have made Jones the feature back by then. That means the division finishes up this way.

    1. Giants 11-5

    2. Philadelphia 10-6

    3. Dallas 10-6

    4. Washington 8-8

There are 2 X-Factors in this division. One is the emergence of Felix Jones for the Cowboys and the other is will Manning find a go to guy to replace Plaxico Burress.
