Every Tuesday we look at two games on the hoops schedule in our Two On Tuesday feature. The first one saw us go 2-0 and the next two saw us split but win the Top Play. The next two weeks also saw splits but Top Play losses, and last week we dropped both plays. Now is the time to go back up the ladder with a 2-0 day.

We will start in college hoops and take a look at a key game in the Horizon League as Valporaiso visits Wright State. Valpo would likely wrap up the HL regular season title with a win here, but WSU can stay very much in the hunt if they manage to pull out a win. These two teams met earlier this season and Valpo won by six as series host, but needed a +15 in three point production to get that win, an edge that will not likely be duplicated on the road. That win for Valpo continued a string of four straight SU wins for the home team in this series. A look at the numbers shows us that Valpo is just 1-4/2-6 ATS on the road at this price point while WSU is 3-0 ATS in such a spot, and overall they are 9-2 SU at home this year. We will take the home team in this one.

Next we move on to the NBA, and we are actually going to take a look at a First Half bet on this one. We rarely get involved with first halves, but this one makes a lot of sense to us, and it is based on something we learned while listening to the wrap up show after the Lakers lost to the Heat on Sunday. We get the Lakers' games on local radio here in Vegas, and while the play by play and color guys are sometimes hard to listen to since they are SUCH homers, every now and then they offer a very interesting nugget, and such was the case on Sunday. They pointed out that, except for a terrible 4th quarter against the Suns, the Lakeshow would have been 5-2 SU in the "Grammy Road Trip" and that fourth quarters have become a real issue for this team overall. That makes perfect sense since this is an older team that tends to wear down as the game goes on, especially against very athletic, young teams. To that end, LA played three excellent quarters against the Heat as well, only to wilt down the stretch. Many things above point to LA getting off to a fast start in this one. First, there is legit revenge since they lost to the Suns just a week or so ago, and getting some separation due to the extra motivation is quite likely. Next, they are back at home and rested, so they should have the "legs" edge in this one, especially early on. Remember, they were leading pretty big at the half in the last meeting, and now they are at home. We are looking at taking LA in the first half with some regularity the rest of the season, and it starts here tonite.

Have a Great Day!
