Our first game today is a star rated play in an NIT encounter: (546) 2* St Joes (-) over St Johns [7pm - NIT]

St John's is just 1-7 SU in its last eight games and will again be missing star Harrison for this contest. St Joe's is a veteran team that suffered a first round loss in the NIT last season, so they should be excited and ready to play well in this contest. One more key stat is free throw success, or lack thereof, as Red Storm hitting just 64% from the line while Hawks are hitting 70% from the charity stripe.

The next game in the rotation gets the next mention in this week's article, as we look at Louisiana Tech vs Florida State. Bulldogs come into this as a prototype for limping in to a tournament, as after a 16-0 WAC start they dropped the last two games of the regular season as well as their opening game of the WAC Tournament. They certainly were not at their best, but after watching them live in the WAC tournament, we came away with the sense of a very "tight" team, one that was more worried about losing an NCAA bid than just playing the game. Now, the pressure is off, and we expect to see the old La Tech back in action. As for Florida State, they are 1-2/-1-4/-11-21 ATS as home chalk of this range and are -5 here based entirely on the LT struggles late in the season. There is not a Power Rating in the nation - and yes we checked them all - that has the Noles more than a three point fav here based purely on talent, and yet the line opened at -5 and the public has moved it up to -5' tonite. I think the value is on La Tech.

We also lean with North Carolina A&T in the first Play In game, and the OVER in the the second Play In game between MTSU and Saint Mary's.

Have a Great Day...and follow me on Twitter!

Every Tuesday we take a look at two games on the sports landscape, and today it is college basketball that rules the roost, with FOUR post season tournaments in action today. Today's article looks at two games from the NIT, one of which is a star rated play to our clients.
