Every year, the NBA All Star game comes along and the basketball world stands still. They put aside the race for the playoffs, team affiliations, and just have a good time with the game of basketball. Anytime you put such a huge collection of the best players in the world in one place, there are bound to be some amazing things that happen. The East find themselves now favored by 2 points in this years All Star game after being listed as 1 point underdogs earlier this week. One thing that you can be sure of is Lebron dunking the basketball. Lebron dunking it at least once in a game is almost as automatic as paying taxes. You know it's just one of those things that you can’t get away from. He is the most amazing athlete that the NBA has seen in years and his strength will get him to the hole a few times for an epic throwdown. When it happens, just pay attention to how high he gets. He weaseled out of the dunk contest this year, but he is likely to remind us that he can still throw down with the best of them. Although I'm not releasing a play on tonight's game I would take the East to win over the West Sunday night if I was forced to choose sides. On the West, they've got a pretty talented collection of players, headed by a few old-school guards in Jason Kidd and Steve Nash. Can you imagine the possibilities of these two guys on the court at the same time? There is no telling the kinds of passes that they might unleash. Just expect Nash and Kidd to be the initiators of more than a few highlight plays on Sunday night. The night should be full of breathtaking plays. Vernon Croy's EPIC 22-4 NBA Run continues when the NBA regular season resumes on Tuesday so make sure you get on-board. |
